Meet Michaela

I'm Michaela, a.k.a. The Burnout Boss — a coach, speaker, educator, and creator of transformational programs that help high achievers, entrepreneurs, leaders, and teams break free from the burnout cycle and create sustainable success.
My journey started in the trenches of leadership — over 15 years in retail, real estate, finance, and entrepreneurship — where I learned firsthand how easy it is for high achievers to sacrifice their health, happiness, and relationships in the name of success. I thought I was just tired from all my hard work, and wore it as a badge of honor. I thought pushing through was strength. In reality, I wasn't recovering from burnout — I was adapting to bigger and bigger doses of stress until my body, my energy, and my joy collapsed.
Adapting is a human superpower. But continuously adapting to unhealthy levels of stress without building resilience isn't strength — it's slow-motion self-destruction. For me, it meant weekends in bed recovering from the week, chronic pain flaring up, and vacations filled with dread about returning to a life I didn't love.
I'd been here before — burnt out and convinced my job was the problem. But after multiple careers, I had to ask the hard question: Was it really the job… or was it me?
Spoiler alert: it wasn't just the job. Yes, workplaces must take burnout prevention seriously (and I help them do exactly that), but I had to face the truth that my resilience, stress response, and mindset were part of the equation.
That realization changed everything. I became obsessed with understanding burnout at its root — not just how to survive it, but how to prevent it, reverse it, and build a life that doesn't require recovery. I immersed myself in research, studied with experts, and earned certifications in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Hypnosis, and completed an ICF Accredited Quantum Coaching program — because I wanted real tools, not surface-level advice.
From that work, I developed The Burnout Boss Signature Process — a science-backed framework that high achievers and organizations use to end burnout and build high-performance cultures that don't come at the expense of well-being.
Now I share that process through impactful keynote talks, corporate workshops, and self-paced courses — empowering ambitious professionals to reclaim their energy, unlock their potential, and thrive without crashing.

What I Offer
For individuals, the starting point is the Burnout Breakthrough course — self-paced, designed for people already at their limit, and built to deliver relief fast. A limited number of one-on-one coaching spots are available by application for those ready to go deeper after completing the course.
For organizations, I deliver keynote talks and workshops that equip leaders to recognize and address burnout before it costs them their best people.
